On the meadow site for tents and Pods, toilets, a shower and pot-wash facility are available for your use.
Rules on Site
For everyone’s safety, comfort and convenience we ask that you adhere to the following simple guidelines for good camping etiquette:
Arrival time
For tent pitches 12:00 noon and before 20.00
For camping pods 15:00 and before 20:00
Outside these times, please phone ahead to make any other specific arrangements.
Departure time
For tent pitches please leave by 12 noon on your day of departure.
For camping pods please leave by 11:00am on your day of departure.
Pick your Pitch
Please camp within allocated pitch areas
Dogs
Dogs are welcome on the site (maximum of one per party), but please notify us at the time of booking. Your dogs must be on a lead at all times and you must clean up after them promptly.
Lost property
We are not able to take responsibility for lost or stolen possessions; however, we will store any lost property items which are found on the site for six months before disposal at our discretion.
Quiet please
Please be considerate to your neighbouring campers and local villagers, observing quiet time between 21.30pm and 07.00am
Campfires
For safety reasons, campfires are not allowed, but barbeques are permitted provided they are raised off the ground using stones we can provide.
Don’t collect wood from the local area to burn on site.
Parking
To protect the natural beauty of the site, parking is available in a designated area on site away from tent pitches but near enough for you to carry your camping gear to and from your car.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in or around the pods
Safety
Cooking on camping stoves inside tents or pods is NOT permitted and can be lethal due to carbon monoxide poisoning
Please DO NOT climb on any Dry stone walls!
Children Supervision
We respectfully ask that children are supervised at all times. Including in the toilet and shower block.

Please note a community defibrillator is available located on the village institute wall.

The National Trust have a walks information board available to view in Buckden Garth beside the National Park Pay&Display car park
Shops
Buckden Village Stores open each morning, offering most of your holiday essentials and visitor guides, with more shops in Kettlewell just 4 miles down the road. Further down the dale, Grassington offers a range of boutique gift and interiors shops alongside a butcher, bakery and post office.

The nearest cashpoint is located at the country spar based in Threshfield (BD23 5PL)
Petrol / Camping Gas
Open 9 am to 5pm, the garage in Kettlewell (BD23 5QZ) provides a range of petrol, diesel, puncture repairs.

Ventura bus
The Ventura bus is a localy run bus servervice that runs up and down the dale.
Work Vehicles
Whilst we have no specific policy on works vehicles, if we believe they are spoiling the look of the site we may ask you to move them to a discrete secure location which we can provide.
Emergency Procedures
Please note a community defibrillator is available located on the village institute wall.
For other emergencies that do not require the emergency services, please contact the camp site proprietor located at Heber Farm house.
- Please raise the alarm by shouting “Fire! Fire!”
- Evacuate your tent, pod, van or vehicle
- Raise the alarm to others by shouting “Fire! Fire! and ringing the fire dongle located beside the onsite shower pod
- There is a fire point located at the water point beside the onsite shower pod
- Tackle the fire, only if safe to do so, without taking any risks.
- Call the fire brigade by dialling 999 and inform the camp site proprietor located at Heber Farm House or use the land line found there.
- On hearing the “Fire! Fire!” leave your tent, pod, van, vehicle by the quickest route and report to the assembly point which is located in front of the shower facility in the farm yard
